A tasty drink to cool down the body-Aam Panna

Hello readers today I am going to write a blog on food. This blog is about a drink that is made out of raw mangoes. The drink is called Aam Panna. This drink is mostly drank on summer as its cool downs the body and provide heat resistance. As everyone is in a lockdown right now it is time to healthy.  Today I am going share the healthy recipe of this drink.


  1. raw mangoes- 1kg
  2. jaggery- 2 cups
  3. pink Himalayan salt- 4 teaspoons
  4. cumin powder(roasted)- 5 teaspoons
  5. water- 4 cups
  6. *optional* pepper powder and mint leaves

how to make the Aam Panna

  1. First wash the mangoes thoroughly and peal the skin and chop them into small pieces.
  • Then put the chopped mango pieces in a big saucepan and add to cups of water and boil it till it becomes soft.
  • let the mangoes cool down and then blend it in a mixer.
  • Now boil the jaggery till it melts
  • mix it then add cumin powder, salt and pepper and the mango mixture

  • boil it for 5 minutes and let it cool down
  • keep it in the refrigerator for 1 hour

Why to consume Aam Panna

Aam Panna is a very healthy drink especially on summers as it cools down the body temperature. This drink is rich in carbohydrates, vitamin A, B1, B2 and C. It is a rich source of minerals such as calcium, potassium, magnesium, sodium and iron. It also helps in fighting against diabetes or high blood sugar. I recommended using jaggery, coconut sugar, cane sugar, brown sugar as it is better than the sugar we commonly use at our homes. Instead of using white salt we can use pink Himalayan salt which very healthy and way better than the salt we use. You can also use black salt. You can also cook the mangoes in a pressure cooker.

How to serve the Aam Panna

You can serve Aam Panna normally adding 2 teaspoon of the concentrate in a glass and adding cold water and stir it. Instead of water you can soda to enhance its taste. You can also add some ice. Adding some mint leaves can give it extra punch of flavor.
